First day of my period, but I actually feel happy—before, I used to dread going to work on days like this, full of resentment. Now I don’t have to. I feel free. Very
I didn’t sleep well and I’m a bit tired, but overall my mood feels lighter.
I’m excited and scared at the same time (about the notebook and the domain).
2. What Happened Today
Talked to Mingyu this morning about the watercolor notebook prototype. Most things are settled. Tomorrow I’ll check the cover color one last time and then it can be finalized for sampling.
I bought the domain spacemiao.com for the next ten years.
I bought Squarespace—didn’t overthink it—just started building the website.
I used Squarespace years ago, and I once built a personal academic site on GoDaddy, so this time everything felt familiar and frictionless.
Woke up at 7 AM.
Had lunch with Sai at KuaiZi.
Scrolled Instagram for a second after a phone call and drifted off.
3. Insights
Before, getting my period made me hate going to work. Now I don’t have to force myself—this freedom feels good.
Small decisions and small efforts from the previous day make every following day a little easier. Never underestimate tiny accumulations.
Why am I so drawn to notebooks and journaling? → Probably because when I was young, people praised my handwriting, and writing became a place where I received validation.
First principles: I should focus on creating value. → If I can create value from different angles and increase the “survival chances” of the people who follow me, maybe I can make money from that.
Naval said: learning how to make money is the quickest way to grow—growth in the real world, not just reading more books.
Summarizing what I already know and documenting my time helps me think clearly.
4. Next Steps
Short-term (today / tomorrow):
Check the notebook cover color tomorrow → finalize → send to production for sampling.
Keep building the Squarespace site. No need for perfection—just get the structure up.
If my body feels tired, allow myself to rest.
Long-term:
Keep “create value” as a first principle.
Continue summarizing what I know and turning it into content.
Integrate writing, design, and thinking into a stable creative output system.
